Rotary rake repair

Hello all,
New to the forum and like to read on a wide range of topics.
I have a new idea rotary rake model 4240. The kid I hired tore up the pinion. After several hours I was able to finally get it all apart. Agco Parts wants an enormous amount for the pinion kit.
Are there aftermarket parts available? Who actually built this machine? Had to drag out the old international 35 to finish raking. You all know what joy that brings after having a rotary rake!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
