Vermeer 605M Twine Tie - Twine arm extends and doesn't want to stop

Since we got our Vermeer 605M Silage baler, we have only used netwrap.  We would like to use the twine tie some.  When you start the twine tie cycle, the arm will extend all the way out and hits the metal twine guide that you can adjust.  The arm does stop but it acts like it want to keep going and then faults out and then returns to the home position.  It pops us a E53 code.  I have dealt with teaching the twine tie system where to stop but I can't remember it all.  It acts like it has forgotten where to stop when it goes over to do the start wraps.  Accu-bale plus monitor.
