Still working my way through 1st cutting and am fighting, as usual, with my kuhn speed rake in heavy alfalfa and alfalfa/orchard mix. I small square everything and need a fairly tight windrow and I get fussy when my wheel rake leaves hay and skips over it.
No matter what I do it I end up raking over hay twice to get the most of it. Just trying to merge two swaths in the middle.
It's gonna cost me some money, but will a Kuhn 6501 twin rotor center delivery solve my problems? Just tired of jacking with my wheel rake. I don't need a gigantic rake, my discbine is only 10 foot.
