The bearing & housing that attaches to the connecting rod. New Holland doesn't sell just the bearing they want you to buy the assembly with the housing. Is that bearing pressed really tight in there or what? Has anybody matched up a bearing and installed it in the housing themselves? If so how did it go? It's an expensive part with the housing and all, over $250 for the inch version and a hundred more for the metric version. Mine it seems has the metric bolts but why can't I just put the inch version of the housing on? Are the holes the same distance apart for both of them. It seems NH only lists one connecting rod. The picture of the inch housing with ruler on Messicks seems to be about an inch wider than mine but I can't see the bolt holes. Unfortunately my local NH dealer doesn't have any of them in stock so I can't compare mine with the inch version there.
