Wheel rake tines/teeth replacement questions.

I have a older 8 wheel v rake and each wheel has about 3-5 tines broken off except for 1 new wheel on the front right side. I was wondering if I should replace the front left side wheel with a new wheel and use the old tines off that wheel to replace the rest of the bad tines in the rake. I figured if I replaced just the broken times with new ones it would not pick the hay up as good do to differance if wear between a mix of new and used tines. Or am I just over thinking it.
