Bale Mover for small bales

I have a NH Super 1048 and try as we may, we can’t get it to pick up shorter square bales. The bales end up averaging 98 lbs. Everyone involve would like to get that number down to 75-80 lbs. Somewhere in Hayrakj I ran across a comment that 1048s were notorious for only picking up longer bales. What model would be a good alternative? We average 3500 bales per year.
