Out alfalfa and alfalfa grass growth is very delayed this spring as is the case with many this spring. If I wait til the normal maturity, 10% bloom, first cutting will be late calendar wise, making 2nd and 3rd cutting also late and may even miss 3rd on some fields. So do I wait or cut 1st early maturity wise to get partially back on schedule? All my hay is sold for horses and dairies in small squares.
