Vermeer balers

Hey guys. Currently I run a hesston 560 baler. Do mainly my own hay and sometimes do some very small custom jobs. My belts are getting to the point of needing replaced and I'm having a hard time justifying the 2k price for a baler that's close to 30 years old. There are two vermeer balers coming up on auction that I'm interested in and am wondering thoughts. We would like net wrap and to go to a smaller bale. The two balers are a 554xl (2005 model with 15k bakes) and a 5410 rebel (2012 model with 3k bales). Both with net and monitors. The 554xl needs belts but they are half the cost of what my hesston would be. My question is which baler would be less troublesome. Would it be better to go.for the xl and put a little money into it or would it be better to spend more upfront and have one that looks and runs like new?
