Will a Farmhand grapple work with a Hoelscher accumulated bale stack?

Hi Guys,

 

New guy here trying to make hay on the cheap (aren't we all).  Picked up a Hoelscher 1000 accumulator with a MF 1839 baler at auction but it didn't come with a bale grapple. The ones I'm seeing are going for more money than I want to spend but I did find a Farmhand grapple that looks like I could modify (add more hooks?) and make work. Has anyone done this or know of a reason this wouldn't work?
