MF 120 hay pick-up bushing

After about 36 years my MF 120 baler still works beautifully, seldom missing a bale. However, I've discovered that the bushing on the shaft to the hay pick-up (the one on the inner side next to the sprocket that drives it) is completely worn through. There is also some wear to the shaft itself.

 

I'm going to put in a new bushing but it will obviously fit slack on the shaft unless I can repair that.

 

Unfortunately, the entire pick-up assembly has welded plates on both sides and I can't figure how to take it apart.

 

Any advice of how to proceed would be appreciated.
