I ended up getting the IH 47 baler for $200, and with a few hours of tinkering with the knotters, I cranked out my first few bales ever. What a good feeling! The outside knotter leaves one of the ends pretty short, so if I make a really tight bale, that side will slip out of the knot. Any thoughts on that? Bothe sides leave a pretty short end, but the one is slightly shorter than the other. Should I just tighten the bill hook cam spring a little?
Also picked up a IH No.14 rake in great working order for $600 from a local equipment auction. It's pretty cool to know that I'm gona be able to hay this year. It's a pretty big deal for us. My wife and I are beyond stoked!

I made the bales short so I didn't have to feed a ton through it for testing purposes. My wife loves them though! Ha ha
It was a good weekend for me!
