Vermeer Mower Conditioners - What's the Skinny?????

Anyone using Vermeer mower conditioners? Read a lot of posts about JD, NH and even some MF/Hesston.

Saw one on a dealer' slot, a 9ft model MC2800. It is the only other moco I've seen with lower hp requirements, but with steel rollers other than the MF/Hesston 1359 (New Idea 5209 variant). Both if these moco's use a hex shaft with bevel gears vs a gear bed design. Unlike the MF, the Vermeer has a shear hub arrangement. Vermeer claims you can replace a gear head without dissembling the entire cutter bar too. Can't remember if that is the case with the MF.

Anyone using one of these late model Vermeer moco's?
