Did a Little Planting this Week (not hay though)

Got started disking in the rye cover crop we seeded last fall for erosion control about 3 weeks ago.

It worked up pretty good after a couple of passes with the disc. Next I hit it up with the Perfecta.

Then it rained off and on for the next 3 weeks, which really put a damper on things. Last Monday I made another pass with the perfecta and we got our ends marked out and went to planting! Finally!

We're putting in 10,000 Gala apple trees on about 15 acres. They're being planted on a 14x4 spacing and will be supported by a trellis system which will be installed in a few weeks! It'll take 1600 6"x12' treated post and a whole lot of high tensile to support the trees! I'll post more pics of that operation when we get started with it if there is any interest.
