JD Plain Grain drill

Ive dug out an olderJD plain grain drill of my uncles shed. Its in beautiful shape with all the rate stickers inside the seed boxes in tact. Does anyone know what to look for or what to do to start off with?
Ive got a few acres i'd like to rip up and reseed to a pickseed cattlemans blend (brome/wheatgrass/fescue/rye/alfalfa).
I spend all of may running a versatile 550DT pulling a 3720 bourgault disc drill so im familiar woth the mechanics of getting the seed in the ground. We've just had trouble metering grass seed through our aircart in the past and with a 60' width i need more room than i have.
