Vermeer 504N Bale Shape Sensor

I up graded to a new to me 504N about 500 bales ago, W/O bale shape sensors, did I mess up, I never had a problem with the old baler.. The sensors are available as a field installed kit, So my question is, had anyone done this? is it a ez install? Is it a plug & play? The monitor has the bale shape already installed (i think).
