New Holland 846

I have a New Holland 846 with hydraulic tie. I broke an upper chain baling my first cut. My question is should I replace the broken chain, repair the chain, or replace both chains? In the heat of the moment I went and bought a John Deere 375 from a friend and finished my baling. Should I repair the New Holland and keep as a back up or sell it as is?
