488 Torsion Bar

Torsion bar broke on my 488. I can't get the half that goes to the center bracket of the haybine. I've already tried PB Blast and heat. I've tried to pull it with a tractor and all I've done is drag the mower even anchoring I pull everything. I've tried using a jack. Hitting it. Everything short of torching it.

I don't want to torch it in fear of ruining the other bar and the bracket. I have the replacement bar and I'm now sitting with a $162 paperweight. Help!!
