JD 535 baler gate not working properly

Brought our 535 in today to go over before haying starts. Hooked everything up, blew it all out, opened it up, now the gate wont close properly. No the gate lock isn't on. Although when we locked and unlocked the gate it worked once. Shut the tractor off and pulled both hydraulic levers and the gate went down. The hydraulic pick up lifts when I opened the baler too, isn't that strange?!
Anyone with advice on what's wrong?
