Rake Upgrade

We are currently raking with a tonutti V12, putting 2 9' passes together behind a JD 1360 disc mower. This works great for the small square baler (would only need a V10), but the swaths tend to be light for the round baler.

We've been thinking about extending the V12 up to a V14 as it can almost reach 3 swaths as is. There is some concern about leaving that middle swath untouched but I suspect that the volume of dry hay in a 27' windrow would be enough to make the little bit underneath irrelevant.

However, this year and last have been very wet in our area and the wheel rake can struggle to move a swath that's been rained on. This has mmus thinking we may need to consider something like a Vermeer R2300 or R2800 foemr the power to always move the swath, or a tandem side delivery rotary rake. With the rotary I imagine we could put 2 together for the square baler and 4 for the round baler?

What else should we need thinking about and what am I missing?
