I'm working on a 1976 John Deere 336 square baler without the adjustable doors on the sides of the chute. We were told to add compression wedges to help make better bales. the issue is that we found two parts;angle restrictor wedge and plunger extention , both having the same part number and look identical. just wonder if anyone has had any dealings with this. Im having trouble finding a diagram showing the placement of a wedge but if it goes where it looks like it should, the bolt holes dont line up. should replacing the hay restrictor plates(cheese grater) actually be what needs to be looked into?
