I waw mowing some short grass but mostly weeds. my mower is a frontier DM5070.
and it was trowing belts I had to ready tighten tjhe belts more that I normally do. pullies where hotter than normal and I noticed the bottom gear box was where iit drives all the cutters where also overly hot. So hot it boiled some water I put on it. I know gear boxes run hot but I never had one that would boil water. How hot is to hot? How many of you feel your gear boxes and what do you notice?
