Bought a 1209. Got to get it home

I bought a 1209 that cut the first cutting this year for $500 and got a NH 57 parts rake thrown in. Now I need to get them home. The rake is no problem. The 1209 is the question. How wide is a 9' 1209? Should I tow it or haul it? It's about 80 miles away. I can probably get it on a trailer sideways and either take the tongue off or turn it as sideways as I can to get it on. Which route would you go? Most of the roads are state hwy so 12 ft would probably be OK. 13 might be pushing it though.
