Alfalfa bales increased moisture after baled.

I tested every bale at 18% or less. The next day bales are testing into the mid 20s, no temp increase. I’ll admit that there were a decent amount of waxy stems but leaves were shattering. I’m guessing the hay is sweating off the stem moisture? My agora Tronics handheld probe which I have two they both concur with each other have never let me down do you think I’m going to be let down? And I admit I don’t traditionally bale a lot of alfalfa hay but this is pretty close to 100%
