Grass Building up on cutter bar

Was cutting for first time this year and the grass kept building up on the last 2 pods on a NEW IDEA 5209.  I would have to stop and clear off the top of the last 2 pods. The grass was going thru the rollers fine everywhere else.  The grass was was really wet is the only thing I can think of.  Tried putting on new blades and that did not help.  Any ideas what could be causing this? Do you think it may have just been the grass was 2 wet? made 6 passes and stopped because the i was not getting a clean cut on the last 2 pods.
