John Deere 346 baler knotter issues

I'm visiting my grandpa in Oregon and he's having some issues with his 346's knotter. After running it by hand it appears the right and left knotter are out of sequence with each other. The right side seems to be breaking/fraying/missing knots the left is working great. I believe that one knitter (left) is correct but it seems the right one is beginning its know while the left is mid sequence. Is the even a possibility? If so how would I go about fixing it?
