New Holland 575 baler with knotter / needle problems

mercredi 8 juillet 2015

I have a magician in my baler.  When the needle starts to move at the beginning of the knotter cycle the twine is thru the eye of the needle as it should be.  When the needle returns back to the position under the chamber the twine is no longer in the eye of the needle and is attached to the knot that was just made.  This sometimes happens after 10 more bales or 300 more bales.  Sometimes the outcome is different but in all cases the twine is no longer in the eye of the needle at the end of the knotter cycle.

Variations:

1.  attached to knot just made

2.  string is feeding up chute with a 5 foot piece of twine then a knot and then the rest of the twine coming from under baler by the needle.

3.  string is feeding up chute with no knots in it and coming from under the baler by the needle.

Any ideas?
