Tedding alfalfa?

Hi guys, I was wonder what your opinions were on Tedding alfalfa to make quality alfalfa. From what everyone tells me, it is one of the main reasons for lead loss. In the past, we have always Tedded our alfalfa as we were a dairy farm and ou heifers would eat about anything. But now the cows are gone and will will be selling all alfalfa. Anyone who has ideas or suggestions of this topic would be greatly appreciated
