Programming bale size to account for overruns?

New to round balers. First time running one was yesterday.

 

I had the diameter set on the monitor to 48", just testing the waters, but if I stopped when the monitor beeped, the bales ended up in the 49-49.5" range.

 

If I max out the bale size to 60", which is the capacity of the baler, am I going to damage the machine with this overrun?

 

Do you typically run a couple inches under maximum to account for this?
