Ok.. rough start to the hay season. We blew a line on the density system. Replaced line and now I am trying to charge the system. I am following the repair manual - Turn bale density valve all the way out - counterclockwise - connect line at gauge using special $70 fitting, extend/retract several times. (Cylinder is extending / retracting). Set bale density pressure by reading gauge when opening / closing tailgate. Belts are still loose and the valve is screwed almost all the way in. My question - when you retract the cylinder isn’t that removing “pressure” from the system? What position should the cylinder be in when you disconnect the hose?
